The Local Artist Intiative
The Full Story
Not every dream can be fulfilled alone. At Vic City Apparel, our name comes from the idea that our city supports our citizens, and our citizens support our city. We plan on fulfilling this by helping our local artists gain a spotlight on their creations - by putting it on clothing for our Victorians to wear.
Our plan with the Local Artist Initiative is to make custom limited-edition merchandise with our artists' works - so that their name can be spread and their art well known in the surrounding area.
More than half of the proceeds will go back to the artists to support them in their careers. We don't charge any fee or rent to have their art on our online store - unlike other conscription services - as we believe that their art should be able to speak for itself.
Our Artists

jLouiseArt
Our very first artist collaboration.
"jLouiseArt was born and raised on the unceded lands of the SENCOTEN and Hul'q'umi'num speaking First People's. Also referred to as the Capital Regional District on Southern Vancouver Island. During their formative years, they found peace, solitude, regeneration, and inspiration in nature. Although very physically active in youth, they always held a drive to create artistically.
With a strong sense of faith they walked in a very unorthodox fashion which saved them; as they developed a unique perspective on life and their relation to it."
